A blog post by me
So after hosting Virtual Worldz Press on a home server for years with a simple Domain Forwarding, I finally bit the bullet and took Google up on her offer to manage said domain. The problem is with Dynamic DNS. Y'see, my ISP is Canada's version of Comcast. Not only do they throttle my torrents (and my will to live), but they also refuse to give me a static IP address (Grrrr DSL). What this means is I still have to use the free Dynamic DNS domain name from the good folks at DynDNS. The downside is my favicon doesn't work within a forwarding frame, and you have to go to the full address to enjoy it in all its splendor. Happy to be at VirtualWorldzPress.com, and look forward to improving the site. For those seeking the old site, be patient, I will put up an archive shortly.more...September 20 2008, 1:51am | Comments »
